Ambient Computing, Desktop and Mobile Applications

The action centered design framework provides a novel way of approaching design of everyday software applications. It proposes that instead of the tool, we must start with the actions that people perform to fulfill their wants and needs, and design are tools around it.

Software applications of today are designed to maximize engagement. The action centered design framework, urges designers to stop thinking of solutions in terms of discrete apps, but rather actions that people can perform and then designing the software around it.
